Take it on
Today I committed Facebook Suicide - huzzah!

I realise that I haven’t update my personal blog in a while. I just haven’t had the time recently….but maybe that’s about to change as I just took the plunge and REMOVED myself from Facebook. The horror!

Wasted time - facebook

Joking aside…I actually feel amazing after doing this. You would not believe the amount of time I’ve wasted on that site…it just draws you into meaningless stalking, conversations and non-life. Yep I think that’s about as good as explaination as any. It adds nothing to my relationships, only distracting me from genuine real-life experiences.

If this is the way that friendships and experiences are going then I am happy to forgo the whole non-business related social networking space. I would rather communicate with my friends face to face thank you very much!

But what really suprised me about the whole leaving facebook thing was other people’s reactions…they were almost unified in their response…oh you’re leaving facebook….are you ok? And an even better….wow yeah great I’m really proud of you, but I just couldn’t do it…there are friends I’d never speak to otherwise…

Hmmm so tell me…if you ditched your facebook you wouldn’t make the effort to hang out with these people? Are they in fact really your friends then?

December

Fruli mmmWoop

It’s almost December - wayee!

This time of year is always a mixed bag for me. Like most people I love christmas and the run up to it, yet tryin to stave off the long winter nights and their seasonal depression can be a hard job. But yey Christmas…you’re still the boy

What christmas actually means:

  • Going for drinks with friends in the Brandling (and drinking fruli and real ales mmm)
  • Spending lots of quality time with my family
  • Eating family christmas dinner (with indians snacks for the vegetarians in my family)
  • Spending ages trying to find good presents for my mam and sister only to settle on something crap
  • Avid Merians Bo Selecta Christmas tune….”ho ho ho mo fo”  HAHA!
  • New years resolutions - I’ve got some good ones this year

:)

Chase the dream…

I’ve been thinking about what I want in a few years time…and I’ve decided to chase the pipe dream…the big dream

If you know me then you’ll know I’ve always wanted to be able to provide for my family - that’s the main thing. Eventually I want to raise a family of my own too - somewhere sunny and nice with no stresses

But why dream small? I mean I keep thinking what would be the pinacle of my “making it”? Most people seem content to just find their comfortable little niche and live in it as do I…and I think it’s because as a human (and capable survivor) you adapt to the environment around you….and the rain that comes with it…rain and mediocrity

But hark back to those times when you were on holiday…like lying on a beach with your shorts on and your top off..supping cocktails and talking lazily about something. Having a lazy afternoon with your girlfriend/friends. If you really concentrate you can even remember what the sun felt like on your back! Haha that is what I’m aiming for…and that is what’s going to drive me

Somewhere nice...sun, sea, sand and skin!

I’m going to try my best to look at this picture every day

Chase the dream :)

Excited about the summer now!

Hey I’m really buzzing for the summer now! Grab the reins of your anteater and shout go boy!!!!

Amsterdam is coming up in just a few days. Ten lads with one thing in mind…to get battered!! And after that it’s almost time for summer Global Gathering and that’s going to be unreal. Ah I can barely contain my excitement to be honest!

Not only that but business is going well, with 2 more press releases from Sunderland Software Ventures and Finance Tree we’re on a role! It’s great to have so much support.

Plus as a little sideline we’re going to be getting stuck into a £100,000 NHS proof of concept fund with our friend Dr Andrew Dean, director of Spartan Nano. Sweet!

I’ll leave you all with a picture of me and my cool mam from last weekend. We tore it up on her Ducati 900 to a bike rally in Helmsley, ace!

Ciao

Hey!
Well this is me ^^ I bet you’re thinking wow that guy is looking cool and adventurous. Ok so this is me in the French Alps…one time…more realistically you can expect me to be sitting with a cuppa and listening to some trance tunes. Which is in fact what I’m doing right now :)
The reason for this blogspace is to chronicle the journey of 1DayLater, which is an exciting new business my brother and I have started!
I predict glee, loud hooting noises, tears and of course mindless rambling on of the highest degree.
Watch this space…
